PM Processes

There are 5 main project processes according to the PMI best practices;

1- Initiating

2- Planning

3- Executing

4- Monitoring and Controlling

5- Closing

1.Initiating

The processes in the iniating process formally start a new project or a project phase. They involve identifying and anaylyzing stakeholders to align expectations about the project.

The iniating process provides a guiding vision for the proejct in terms of the organizations' strategic objectives that the project will help achieve.

2.Planning

Project planning entails walking through the project and getting it organized BEFORE actually doing the work.

Project planning presents a huge opportunity to save resources, time, and money, and it encourages increased stakeholder buy-in and commitment to the project.
